Russia has repeatedly warned that attempts to destabilize the situation in the Middle East will raise oil and gas prices, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting in the Kremlin on the global market situation, APA reports citing TASS.
"Russia, I would like to point out right away, has repeatedly warned that attempts to destabilize the situation in the Middle East will inevitably jeopardize the global fuel and energy complex," the head of state said.
According to Putin, Russia has pointed out that such attempts will drive up energy prices, limit hydrocarbon supplies worldwide, and disrupt long-term investment plans.
"Apparently, this is exactly what is happening," the president concluded.
