Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on a statement made by his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, regarding the city of Kupyansk, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Putin addressed the issue during his annual end-of-year press conference.
“The sign is located one kilometer away from Kupyansk itself. Why are you standing there? If Kupyansk is under your control, then go inside,” the Russian president said, commenting on Zelensky’s video.
Note that after Russia announced it had taken control of Kupyansk, a city in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, Zelensky traveled to Kupyansk and recorded a video at the city’s entrance, stating that the city remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
