Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed launching a large-scale program to equip the CSTO forces with Russian weapons that have proven their combat effectiveness, Putin said during his speech at the CSTO summit in Bishkek, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He also stressed that Russia has proposed that the CSTO begin developing a new counterterrorism strategy.
Putin said that the CSTO summit will be held in Moscow on November 11, 2026. He noted that Russia's chairmanship of the CSTO will be held under the motto "collective security in a multipolar world."
