Russian President Vladimir Putin personally picked Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin and Advisor to the Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Sergey Beseda as negotiators for the next round of Russia-US talks, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a news briefing, APA reports quoting TASS.
"They are the most experienced negotiators with an extensive track record in such work," Peskov shared. "They have been hand-picked by the Russian president and they will best represent Russia in the coming negotiations," he explained.
