Putin: "Oreshnik" system will be put on combat duty by end of year

A large-scale board meeting was held at the Russian Defense Ministry, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

President Vladimir Putin attended the board meeting.

He said that 2025 was an important stage in solving the tasks of the special military operation.

Putin said that the Russian army captured more than 300 settlements in Ukraine in 2025.

The Russian president noted the courageous actions of North Korean servicemen in the Kursk region and their assistance in the large-scale mine clearance of the Kursk area.

According to Putin, the Russian army firmly holds the strategic initiative along the entire front line.

He stressed that the Russian army can increase the pace of the offensive, including in strategically important areas.

Putin noted that the "Burevestnik" and "Poseidon" systems will ensure Russia's strategic equality and security for decades. He emphasized that these systems will remain unique for a long time: "The 'Oreshnik' system will be put on combat duty by the end of the year."
