"A rebellion is attempted to be organized in Russia," Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the population, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Putin said that they are trying to push Russia to defeat and surrender with the rebellion: "Russia will protect itself from internal betrayal."
Putin called the situation related to the armed rebellion a blow and betrayal to the country and the people
"The organizer of the military rebellion has betrayed Russia and will answer for it. As a Russian citizen, I will do everything to protect the country, decisive steps will be taken."
He declared that an appropriate order was given to the Armed Forces regarding the military rebellion.
