Kyiv does not need peace, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with government members, commenting on Ukraine's refusal to agree to a 2-3-day ceasefire for humanitarian reasons, including to collect the bodies of soldiers killed on the battlefield, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
"Peace for it (Kyiv-ed.) most likely means the loss of power. For this regime, power seems to be more important than peace and the lives of people they do not consider their own," Putin emphasized.
