Putin dismissed two police generals in connection with the Golunov case

The head of state, as stated in the press service of the Kremlin, signed the corresponding decree, APA reports citing Tellerreport.

Major General Yury Devyatkin (head of the department for control over drug trafficking of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow), as well as Major General of the Police Andrei Puchkov (head of the internal affairs department of the Main Directorate of the Department of the Interior of Russia in Moscow) were released from their posts.

On June 11, it became known about the termination of the criminal prosecution of Ivan Golunov.

According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev, he will petition the president to dismiss the heads of the two departments of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow.

The Kremlin later said that Putin would consider the appropriate petition in a timely manner.
