The “special military operation” in Ukraine is not a determining factor in Russia’s demographic situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the birth rate is currently one of the main problems facing Russia.
The Russian President noted that work would be carried out on this issue.
At the same time, the Russian President emphasized that the demographic situation in his country’s Far East region is better than in countries such as Japan and South Korea.
According to Putin, South Korea and Japan are not conducting military operations, but their birth rates are declining.
