Putin: All of Ukraine's problems began after 2014

All of Ukraine's troubles began with the violent coup in 2014. This coup was supported by Western sponsors, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with the heads of African countries at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, following the coup in Ukraine, a portion of the populace did not support it: "For many years, Russia had to support the Russian-speaking people and try to resolve the crisis peacefully. But we were deceived by Western countries and those in power in Kyiv."

Putin stated that Ukraine has repeatedly attempted to resolve the situation by blood and initiated a military conflict.

"The global food crisis is not the product of the special military operation; rather, it is the outcome of Western countries' irrational economic activity. By producing huge emissions, they swept up all the products like a vacuum cleaner and put developing countries at a disadvantage. The new colonial European power deceived the world community and the African countries once again," the Russian President added.
