Wagner Private Military Company of Russia takes control of Rostov city, said Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin in his video address, APA reports.
In his video appeal, Prigozhin claimed that his fighters took control of military facilities in Rostov, including the aerodrome.
However, he said that there is no problem with the movement of planes from the aerodrome to the war in Ukraine according to the schedule.
He added that Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff, fled from Rostov as soon as he found out that Wagner was approaching.
