The possibility of implementing temporary governance in Ukraine could be discussed under the auspices of the UN, in cooperation with the U.S., European countries, and Russia's partners, said Russian President Vladimir Putin, APA reports citing TASS.
According to him, this would allow democratic elections to be held and a government capable of functioning normally to come to power.
"Since there are no presidential elections in Ukraine, the current civilian government is illegitimate," Putin emphasized.
The President also noted that the strategic initiative along the entire front line is completely in the hands of Russian troops.
"Russian troops have liberated 99% of the LPR territory and more than 70% of the DPR territory and continue to advance," Putin added.
