The U.S. mediation process on Ukraine has been suspended, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA reports.
According to him, however, the Americans continue their contacts with both Moscow and Kyiv.
“The mediation process on Ukraine has been paused, while American negotiators continue their contacts. Communication with us and with the Ukrainians continues through the existing channels,” he said.
Peskov noted that there is currently no exact date for a visit to Russia by U.S. President’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
“Of course, we would be pleased to see them here in Russia at any time,” the Kremlin official added.
