U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership and its territories largely align with Russia’s position, said Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian President, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that the Kremlin has carefully reviewed Trump’s interview with Politico, particularly the parts related to a Russia–Ukraine settlement:
“Trump touched on the root causes of the Ukraine conflict. The U.S. President’s remarks about Ukraine’s NATO membership, its territories, and Kyiv’s potential territorial losses are very much in line with Russia’s position.”
