The Russian side has given no reaction to Ukraine’s “silence regime” that came into force on May 6, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov while commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statements regarding the “silence regime” starting from midnight on May 6, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

The Kremlin spokesman emphasized that the ceasefire announced by Moscow will remain in force on May 8 and 9.

Peskov stated that Russia expects negotiations on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict and that Washington will continue mediating in this process.

The Russian president’s press secretary noted that American negotiators are currently occupied with other issues due to the crisis in the Middle East.

Peskov also stated that the Kremlin is unaware of the purpose of the visit of Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov to the United States.
