Russia cannot remain indifferent to Cuba’s energy problems, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia considers it its duty to assist its Cuban partners, who need oil and petroleum products to ensure the functioning of vital infrastructure.
Peskov emphasized that the Kremlin is satisfied with the delivery of Russian petroleum products to Cuba and noted that the country will continue working on oil supplies to the island.
The presidential spokesperson also said that the issue of supplying Russian oil to Cuba had been previously raised by Russian and American counterparts.
He added that Russia remains ready to act as a reliable energy supplier for all markets, including Europe.
