"The scope of issues to be discussed in Geneva, including territorial matters, will be broader than those addressed in Abu Dhabi," said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that this is precisely why the participation of Vladimir Medinsky in the upcoming negotiations is important.
According to Peskov, the Russian delegation at the Ukraine talks in Geneva will include Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) Igor Kostyukov, and other officials.
The Kremlin spokesperson also said that Russian President’s Special Representative Kirill Dmitriev will travel to Geneva for contacts within the framework of the working group on economic cooperation with the United States.
Peskov added that the Russian delegation received detailed instructions from the president before departing for Geneva for the Ukraine negotiations.
