Moscow is well aware that there are plans in some offices in Washington to impose new sanctions against Russia, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, it is well known to everyone that certain offices in Washington have such plans. “Any sanctions are harmful and damage the process of improving relations. This is obvious,” he said.
Peskov noted that the Kremlin has not yet seen reports that the United States is considering imposing new sanctions against Russia.
Note that Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that the United States is preparing a new package of sanctions against Russia and could announce them early this week.
