"The issue of Iran’s nuclear program must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means", said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks about his willingness to engage in direct negotiations with Iran, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Peskov emphasized that Russia firmly believes the issues surrounding Iran’s nuclear program should only be addressed through political and diplomatic means. “Without exception, this is the case. We believe that all parties must remain restrained during discussions and focus on diplomatic efforts. We are currently working on restoring our relations with the United States, but Iran is also our partner, with whom we have highly developed and multifaceted relations” he added.
