People's Artist of the RSFSR and Soviet illusionist Emil Kio has died at the age of 87. Edgard Zapashny, general director of the Great Moscow State Circus, announced it, APA reports.
"Emil Kio died at the age of 88," Zapashny wrote on his Telegram channel.
He expressed words of support to his family, friends, and "fans of the magnificent illusionist."
Emil Emilievich Renard-Kio (born Girshfeld) was a Soviet and Russian illusionist and circus performer. He was born on July 12, 1938, in Ordzhonikidze (now Vladikavkaz). His father, Emil Teodorovich Renard-Kio, was a renowned Soviet magician and illusionist.
