The peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan also opens up new opportunities within the Eurasian Economic Union, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a briefing today, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
"If you remember, after August 8, some people said that this was an anti-Russian decision directed against Russia, but I said that no, new opportunities are opening up for Armenian-Russian relations. As a result of the agreements of August 8, something that has never happened in the history of independent Armenia and Russia has now happened: there is a railway connection between Armenia and Russia!" he noted.
