Pashinyan: Failure to resolve Armenia-related issues will mark the beginning of the end for the Eurasian Economic Union

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has criticized the restrictions imposed by Russia on Armenian goods, saying that if the issue is not resolved, it will jeopardize the future of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), APA reports.

Nikol Pashinyan made the remarks during a briefing for journalists.

According to the prime minister, the EAEU is currently effectively paralyzed and is not functioning normally.

"At present, the Eurasian Economic Union is effectively paralyzed and is not functioning normally. This is not only Armenia's problem but the problem of the entire union. Armenia has no plans to leave the EAEU. At the same time, Armenia has the legitimate right to develop its own alternatives. I have also told Russian President Vladimir Putin this. Armenia will move forward along this path. As I said during the election campaign, we must not end up in a situation where Armenia has no alternative. The era of having no alternatives is already behind us," Nikol Pashinyan said.
