Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory letter to Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei on his election as Supreme Leader, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
The letter reads:
“I congratulate you on your election as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I am confident that the strong ties between Armenia and Iran will continue to develop and achieve new successes. I take this opportunity to wish the friendly people of Iran prosperity and lasting peace.”
It should be noted that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has been elected as Iran’s new Supreme Leader.
Recall that Seyyed Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28 as a result of airstrikes by Israel and the United States. He served as Iran’s second Supreme Leader from 1989 to 2026.
