Armenia’s new Constitution should not contain a reference to the Declaration of Independence, said Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, APA reports.

Note that the Declaration of Independence contains territorial claims against Azerbaijan. The declaration includes a provision regarding the necessity of uniting the former Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia.

Azerbaijan objects to this and has put forward amendments to Armenia’s Constitution as a condition for signing a peace agreement between the two countries.
