Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that the government will resign on Sunday, Armenpress reports.
Speaking at a government meeting, Pashinyan said this would be the cabinet's final session.
"This is the last meeting of our government. We will resign on Sunday," he said.
According to Pashinyan, the government will step down in connection with the formation of the ninth convocation of Armenia's parliament.
"After that, the President of Armenia will appoint the candidate nominated by the parliamentary majority as Prime Minister. This is the last meeting of our government in its current composition," he added.
