Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Washington that a new and fundamental stage begins in Armenia-Azerbaijan relations today, APA reports.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed that they are leaving the past behind and looking to the future:
“This stage would not have been possible without the participation of President Trump. The preparation and signing of the peace agreement means that the two countries have entered a new stage and mutually respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. President Trump will also sign today’s declaration. With this document, we are opening a new chapter in our history.”
