During the martial law declared in Armenia due to the 44-day war in 2020, numerous criminal cases initiated for violation of military service rules, including other military crimes, were attributed to a total of 12,600 people, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the next meeting of the investigative commission investigating the conditions of the 44-day war, APA reports.
"Criminal cases were opened in connection with citizens' and military servicemen's evading the call for mobilization, disobeying the order, desertion, leaving the military unit on their own, terminating military service by mutilating himself, refusing to perform military service duties and other cases," Pashinyan noted.
