# 22 August 2026 09:29 (UTC +04:00)

Russia's Samara region came under a drone attack overnight on August 22. Early in the morning, drones struck an Ozon warehouse, according to Russian Telegram channels and OSINT outlets, RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to local channels, a "drone danger" alert was declared across the Samara region at around 2:47 a.m.

After 4:30 a.m., videos showing a fire and a column of smoke in Chapayevsk began circulating widely on social media. An OSINT outlet reported that an Ozon logistics hub had come under attack.

Ozon itself has not reported any attack or evacuation of employees. Local authorities have also not commented on the incident so far.

As previously reported, the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, also located in Russia's Samara region, came under a drone attack that night. A fire broke out at the facility following the strikes.

As for warehouses, Ozon had not been targeted in Russia before this attack. By contrast, Wildberries warehouses had come under attack over the previous two months, including facilities storing dual-use goods.

On August 16, Ukraine's Defense Ministry said that seven of Wildberries' 10 largest hubs had already been put out of operation.

That same day, a Wildberries warehouse in the Koledino industrial park in Domodedovo stopped operating. With an area of about 250,000 square meters, it was the company's largest warehouse.
