Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks about Russian Railways being “toxic” for Armenia are far from reality, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Yerevan has not sent any official request regarding the termination of the concession with South Caucasus Railway, and the Armenian prime minister’s claims regarding sanctions against the Russian carrier are unfounded.
“Nikol Vovayevich tells us that Russian Railways is allegedly toxic for Armenia. But the company transports transit cargo, for example, to Europe, and no one except Pashinyan raises the issue,” Overchuk stressed.
