A group of residents protesting the agreement reached between Armenian and Azerbaijani governments on border delimitation blocked the Yerevan-Armavir road in the morning, APA reports citing News Armenia.
Noted that the members of parliament from the "Armenia" bloc Gegham Manukyan and Mher Sahakyan joined the protesters.
The participants of the rally shouted slogans against the government. The police demanded the protesters to leave the area. They were told that otherwise it will be considered as disobedience to the legal request of the police and adequate measures will be taken.
Recall that on April 19, the governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to start the delimitation process from Tavush province and to conclude the work on the statute of the joint commission by July 1.
