There is a serious problem in the Armenian legislation, such as the conscription of persons considered to be of limited fitness for military service. In some cases, those with serious health problems are also sent to military service, the country's human rights commissioner, Anait Manasyan, said, APA reports, citing Sputnik-Armenia.

In her opinion, the legislation determines the cases in which persons from this category can be conscripted into the army: "I have periodically expressed my position on this. This issue causes serious difficulties not only for citizens, but also in the army."

Recall that some time ago, the press reported that 18-year-old Avetik Matevosyan, who suffers from cardiovascular disease, was sent to military service in Armenia and has been receiving treatment in a military hospital for the last month.
