"Moscow is ready to assist in the dialogue on humanitarian issues between Baku and Yerevan," the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated in response to an Armenian journalist's question regarding the Azerbaijani President's call for Armenia to begin negotiations with representatives of the Western Azerbaijan Community, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Zakharova noted that the discussion of the humanitarian bloc is one of the elements of trilateral agreements at the highest level: "This includes respect for the rights of refugees, the preservation of cultural and religious heritage monuments, the search for missing persons, and the exchange of prisoners of war (POWs)."
"We have repeatedly emphasized the importance of restoring dialogue on the full spectrum of humanitarian issues between Baku and Yerevan, both through official and public channels. If the parties wish to use our capabilities, we are ready to assist," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed.
