"The suspension of the supply of competitive and environmentally clean Russian energy not only weakens Europe's economic potential but also has a very negative impact on the standard of living of European citizens," the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said in her comments regarding the suspension of Russian gas transit through Ukraine, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Zakharova noted that the responsibility for the suspension of the Russian gas supply lies entirely with the United States, Ukraine, and the authorities of the European states who have sacrificed the welfare of their citizens in exchange for material support to the U.S. economy.
