The presence of Russian border guards must be taken into account when opening communication lines through Armenia’s Syunik Province, said Russian Foreign Ministry representative Aleksey Fadeyev in his comments regarding the “Trump route,” APA reports.
He added that until the ministry studies the details of the project and reviews the yet-unreleased document, it will not announce its official position.
Fadeyev noted that Russia considers the trilateral agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in 2020–2022 to be documents that remain relevant, and that none of the parties has declared an intention to withdraw from these agreements.
