Official Moscow considers the ban on entry of Russians into Armenia as an unfriendly act, said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, during today’s briefing, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, the topic of a “stop list” often comes up in discussions regarding relations with Armenia.
“We regard the restriction on the entry of Russian citizens into Armenia as an unfriendly step that contradicts the allied nature of Russia-Armenia cooperation. This issue was discussed during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to the Republic of Armenia in May. Specific steps were proposed to the Armenian side, and we are now awaiting Yerevan’s response,” Maria Zakharova noted.
