The number of Azerbaijani citizens injured in the attack by a drone on a ship sailing under the flag of Palau in the Sea of Azov has reached four, APA's Russian bureau reports.
Another person injured in the incident - the ship's captain Rashad Madatkhanov - has been admitted to the traumatology department of the Yeysk City Central Hospital.
He is currently being treated in the same ward as the other injured Samid Ibadzade, Emin Valehov and Namig Jafarli.
According to the information, the injured were examined again by a doctor. Emin Valehov is reported to have problems with his right ear. Namig Jafarli has hearing problems in both ears. Rashad Madatkhanov was injured in the head.
Representatives of law enforcement agencies also met with the injured and took their statements. Some details of the attack were revealed during the interrogation.
According to the injured, the ship's chief mechanic, Gismet Aliyev, suffered severe burns and died as a result of the drone strike.
The ship's captain, Fuad Orujov, reportedly suffered a broken leg and was seriously injured during the attack. According to the information, he was put on a life jacket and lowered into the water. According to the injured, Fuad Orujov also died as a result of the incident.
