A monument will be constructed in Russia in honor of military personnel from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the participation of North Korean soldiers in military operations in the Kursk region is a practical embodiment of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement.
“Recently, a monument to the heroes was unveiled in Pyongyang, and we will respond with the same gesture on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the Russian foreign minister said.
It should be noted that a street and a museum have been opened in Pyongyang in honor of North Korean soldiers who died in the Kursk region.
It was also recalled that North Korea sent a total of 15,000 troops to the Russian Federation in 2024 and 2025.
