Nine people sought medical attention following a fire in a residential building in central Moscow. The blaze, which covered an area of 300 square meters, has been extinguished, Vadim Uvarkin, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Moscow, told reporters, APA reports.
"When the first fire and rescue units arrived, a fire had broken out in the elevator shaft and stairwells from the first to the eighth floors in the fourth entrance of the residential building. The fire was extinguished over an area of 300 square meters. The unit rescued 37 people. Nine people sought medical attention," he said.
95 personnel and 27 pieces of equipment participated in extinguishing the fire.
