Mikhail Kalugin has been appointed the new head of the 4th CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said the ministry’s press service, APA reports.
Kalugin has been serving in the diplomatic system since 2002 in various roles. He was Deputy Director of the same department from 2020 to 2025.
Although Kalugin assumed the position on July 29, the official order was signed on August 1 and publicly announced today.
