Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov of Russia was appointed as the new Chief of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Joint Staff, APA reports.
A decision was made on distributing quota-based jobs in the organization for the next three-year period.
Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov was assigned to the post of the Commander of the Airborne troops under the decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2016.
Note that Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov was Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff before Andrei Serdyukov.
