Moscow's candidate for negotiations with Ukraine not yet been determined

Russia and the United States continue a consistent contact regarding the preparations for negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict settlement, but there are no new details on this issue as of yet, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday, APA reports citing TASS.

"I have nothing to tell you at the moment. We have ongoing contacts with Americans, we maintain them and carry them forward, and as soon as new information emerges, we will announce it," he said.

Peskov also said that the Russian side's candidacy for a negotiator on the Ukrainian issue with the United States has not yet been decided.

US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff stated earlier in the month that Washington had already discussed its delegation’s lineup for the upcoming negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict settlement and informed Moscow about this.
