The issue of transporting enriched uranium from Iran to Russia has been on the agenda for a long time, and Moscow continues its contacts with all interested parties, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

He noted that Moscow remains ready to continue helping reduce tensions around Iran.

“This issue has been on the agenda for a long time. Russia has long been offering these services as a possible option that would help eliminate certain irritants for a number of countries. At present, Russia continues its efforts, maintains contact with all interested parties, and is ready to contribute as much as possible to reducing tensions around Iran,” the Kremlin spokesman said in response to a question about whether the possibility of transporting Iran’s enriched uranium to Russia had been discussed with the United States and Iran.
