Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported a new attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the Russian capital, APA reports citing glavnoe.in.ua.
According to him, the Russian air defence system allegedly destroyed several drones heading for the city.
Sobyanin made his first statement about the attack at 13:18, saying that three drones had been shot down. Emergency services were working in the area where the debris fell. At 16:25, he reported the destruction of another drone.
In his latest statement at 17:06, Sobyanin claimed that three more drones had been shot down.
The Russian Ministry of Defence, in turn, claims that 232 drones have been shot down since nightfall, 34 of them during daylight hours.
Currently, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports in the Moscow region have been closed again, which means that the raid is continuing.
