Moscow hosts Meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Government

Moscow is hosting the Meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of Government, APA's Russian bureau reports.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, who is on a working visit to the Russian Federation since December 16th, is also attending the meeting.

The Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government is held at Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy of Moscow. Before the meeting, the Prime Ministers of CIS got acquainted with the "Russia" international exhibition forum opened at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.

At the exhibition forum, the development path of Russian regions and new technologies produced by the country are shown.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov is shceduled to deliver a speech at the Meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States Council of Heads of Government.

Within the framework of the Meeting, the discussion of the developments of ties within the CIS, humanitarian matters, the conclusion of the previous year and future plans are planned.

Note that In 2023, the Chairmanship of the CIS was held by the Kyrgyz Republic. From 2024, the Chairmanship of the CIS will be transferred to the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not participate in the CIS event this time either. Armenia is represented at the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan.
