A Moscow court has found former Yukos oil company head Mikhail Khodorkovsky (included in Russia's register of foreign agents) guilty in absentia on two counts of spreading false information about the Russian army, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Judge Oksana Goryunova sentenced Khodorkovsky to 10 years in prison.
A criminal case related to military “fakes” was opened against Khodorkovsky in September 2023. The case was based on a post published on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on September 9, 2022, and a video posted on his YouTube channel on July 9, 2024.
