Moscow court has sentenced writer Boris Akunin (Grigory Chkhartishvili) to 1 year of imprisonment for violating the rules of activity for a “foreign agent,” increasing his total sentence to 15 years, APA reports, citing RBC.
Earlier, the Western Military District Court had sentenced Akunin in absentia to 14 years in prison on charges of publicly justifying terrorism and assisting terrorist activities.
According to the court rulings, the writer must serve 15 years in a high-security penal colony.
