The Moldovan Appeals Court has rejected the request for the release of Eugenia Gutul, the head of Gagauzia, from custody, APA reports, citing tvrmoldova.
The decision was made in the context of an ongoing investigation into the illegal financing of the 2023 election campaign.
It is noted that Eugenia Gutul was arrested on March 25 while attempting to leave Moldova.
The Moldovan court has sentenced Eugenia Gutul to 20 days in custody.
