Mobile internet restrictions imposed in central Moscow

Mobile internet restrictions have come into force in central Moscow, APA’s Russia bureau reports.

Due to security measures, mobile internet has been disabled in central districts of Moscow. At the same time, restrictions have also been imposed on sending and receiving SMS messages.

The restrictions apply only to central districts of Moscow. Mobile internet has not been отключен in areas outside the city center.

It should be noted that security measures have been tightened in Moscow in connection with the May 9 Victory Parade on Red Square. Streets and metro stations around the Kremlin have been closed. Entry and exit restrictions have been imposed at 12 Moscow metro stations located on and near Red Square.

The restrictions are expected to remain in force until 14:00 local time.
