A military parade commemorating the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be held on May 9, 2026, on Red Square in Moscow, APA reports.
According to Russian Ministry of Defense, marching column will include military personnel from universities of all branches and individual branches of the Russian Armed Forces.
The military vehicle column will not participate.
During the aviation portion of the parade, aircraft from Russian aerobatic teams will fly over Red Square.
The parade broadcast will show the work of all types and branches of the military operating in the Northern Military District and on duty at the command posts of the Strategic Missile Forces, the Aerospace Forces and ships.
Due to the operational situation, cadets, Suvorov cadets and Nakhimov cadets will not take part.
At the end of the parade, Su-25 attack aircraft pilots will paint the Moscow sky in the colors of the Russian flag.
