Lieutenant General Sergey Milchakov, commander of the Russian army’s 51st Combined Arms Army, was reportedly killed as a result of a Ukrainian strike on a Russian forces command post in Donetsk, APA reports.
Sevreal Russian and Ukrainian media outlets and the Atesh partisan movement reported this.
According to the information, Milchakov is believed to have been killed in a missile strike on the main and reserve command posts of Russian forces in Donetsk on August 26.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the main and reserve command posts of Russian forces in the Donetsk area were struck with air-launched missiles on August 26 and during the night into August 27.
The General Staff said that the enemy’s losses as a result of the strikes were being clarified.
The Russian side has not yet confirmed reports of Milchakov’s death.
